He had some difficulty with the lot of it. I can't blame him. Such creatures do not exist in our world. Perhaps you could speak with him too. Let him hear it from someone with whom he does not have such a complicated history.

[Perhaps Lecter can read between the lines: that the only verified case does not discount the existence of other instances, and that there has been no credible reason to deny people who they say they are or who they choose to be when they enter Ryslig.
